ENIntroduction: Insights into Angola's Forestry Market and Chainsaw Parts Demand
As Africa's second-largest forestry country (with a forest coverage rate of 47%), Angola's timber industry is becoming a pillar industry amid its transition from an oil-based economy. The country has over 250,000 active chainsaws, of which the MS070 model accounts for 38%, and annual file parts consumption reaches 18 million. However, the local market has long been dominated by three types of products:
Genuine European chainsaw file parts (highly expensive)
Counterfeit and inferior chainsaw sharpener products (short lifespan)
Second-hand, refurbished files (extremely unstable performance)

Against this backdrop, we successfully enabled the Angolan customer to skip the testing phase and directly purchase saw file parts in bulk through pre-verification with a complete MS070 prototype. This article provides an in-depth analysis of how we leveraged brand recognition and quality marketing to secure a 10,000-file order.
1. Customer Background and Prototype Testing
The customer, a timber merchant, owns 180 MS070 chainsaws and experiences a monthly file loss of 500 saw files. Previously, the use of inferior files resulted in:
Accelerated chain tooth wear
Reduced fuel efficiency
Increased operational risk
In July 2025, the customer purchased three MS070 complete machines for testing. During the 90-day testing period, the customer discovered that the original 5.5mm saw files had not chipped after continued use and proactively requested replacement parts.

Visual Presentation of Core Technologies
Four core technologies were demonstrated to customers via WhatsApp video conferencing:
① Special Steel Processing
Demonstration of the steel mill production line: Demonstration of the S2 special steel quenching process
Metallographic Comparison: Comparison of the grain size differences between ordinary files and this product
② Laser Micro-engraving Technology
Demonstration of the unique anti-counterfeiting pattern
Demonstration of the nano-coating process
③ Transparency of the Quality Control System
Demonstration of the full inspection workshop: Each chainsaw file undergoes three inspection steps
Quality Traceability System: Demonstration of the ability to trace the source of raw materials by batch number

1. Competitive Landscape in the Angora Chainsaw File/Sharpener Market European brands are expensive, while a large number of other brands in the market are of poor quality. There is an urgent need to establish a brand with guaranteed quality and competitive pricing.
1. Tiered Pricing Model
Design flexible pricing based on the following five purchase volume levels:
1,000-2,000 files
2,001-5,000 files
5,001-8,000 files
8,001-10,000 files
Over 10,000 files
2. Design of a Value-Added Service Package, providing:
Consumables Monitoring Platform: Real-time tracking of each file's usage time
Training Support: Video tutorials on usage and maintenance
Packaging Design: Utilizing color box design
1. Brand Training Program
Promote brand agent certification
Give away our branded T-shirts and hats
2. Joint Development of Industry Standards
Participate in the development of Angola's chainsaw parts standards
Sponsor the National Forestry Skills Competition
Establishing an Industry Anti-Counterfeiting Fund
Conclusion: The Value Transformation from Product Output to Standard Output
This case demonstrates that achieving trust in the African market, from complete devices to accessories, requires three key pillars:
1. Quality Visibility: Allowing Customers to "See" Quality Differences
2. Service Ecosystem: Securing Long-Term Partnerships through Value-Added Services
Strategic Value:
This 10,000-unit order not only generates direct revenue, but also has the following significant implications:
Validating the feasibility of the "complete device drives accessories" model
Establishing a benchmark case in the Angolan market
Providing a template for expansion into neighboring countries
